At Gracie Barra Ventura County, we are committed to bringing balance between exercise and community to your life. We offer a broad range of classes for every level. It's time to become fit and confident in your daily routine.

We offer three tiers of classes

Fundamentals Program GB1

The GB1 Fundamentals Program at Gracie Barra Ventura County is a great start for beginners in Jiu-Jitsu. This program teaches basic Jiu-Jitsu moves and self-defense skills, following a curriculum used by over 1,000 Gracie Barra schools around the world. It’s a friendly place for everyone to learn and grow together.


Key Parts of the GB1 Fundamentals Program:

  • Consistent Curriculum: The same high-quality training is taught at all Gracie Barra Ventura County schools under our leadership (Gracie Barra Simi Valley and Gracie Barra Oxnard) so you can keep learning no matter where you train.

  • Basic Jiu-Jitsu Skills: Learn important moves like escapes, submissions, and control to build a strong foundation.

  • Personal Growth: Develop discipline, respect, and confidence on and off the mat.

  • Fitness: Exercises are included to help improve strength, coordination, and health.

  • Community Values: Become part of a community based on respect, humility, and always getting better, making Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense skills available to all beginners.

Advanced Program GB2

The GB2 Advanced Program at Gracie Barra is for students who already know the basics of Jiu-Jitsu and want to grow their skills. This program builds on what you’ve learned, adding more challenging techniques and strategies to help you get even better.
 

Key Parts of the GB2 Advanced Program:

  • Expanded Curriculum: Learn more advanced Jiu-Jitsu moves to handle different situations.

  • Strategic Skills: Improve control and transitions, helping you make smart decisions during practice.

  • Competition Prep: Get ready for competitions with training on rules and strategies in a supportive environment.

  • Fitness and Resilience: Increase your stamina, strength, and mental toughness for higher levels of practice.

NoGi Program

The Gracie Barra No-Gi Program is perfect for students who want to learn Jiu-Jitsu without the traditional gi. This program teaches new grips, faster moves, and ways to adapt quickly. It combines Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling for a strong skill set in self-defense and competition.
 

Key Parts of the No-Gi Program:

  • Improved Grip Skills: Learn to control your opponent with body positioning and leverage instead of using a gi.

  • Speed and Agility: Practice quicker moves and reactions to build fast reflexes and smooth movements.

  • Wrestling Moves: Adds wrestling skills like takedowns and ground control to handle different situations.
